	About Us Randall County is located in the south central part of the Texas Panhandle. The County was officially formed in 1889 and consists of approximately 933 square miles with an estimated 750 miles of roads. Significant cities are Amarillo and Canyon, the county seat of Randall County. We are home to West Texas A&M University, Buffalo Lake Wildlife Refuge, Palo Duro Canyon State Park and the biggest museum in the State of Texas, Panhandle Plains Historical Museum. The County has an estimated population of 123,351 and is currently enjoying a growth rate of 2% per year. The exterior restoration of the 1909 Randall County Courthouse was completed in August of 2010.

Burn Ban Implemented
Randall County Commissioner's Court met Tuesday, November 13, 2012 and voted unanimously to implement the burn ban which is currently in effect.
2012 TAX RATE NOTICE Randall County adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 4.10 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $13.41.
