Cearley lawsuit. At least part of the
discussion will involve a private
consultation with the commissioners court’s legal counsel pursuant to Tex. Gov. Code Ann. Section 551.071
permitting a governmental body to conduct a private consultation with its attorneys about pending litigation or
settlement offers. Take any necessary

3. Choose
three additional members of the Randall County Salary Grievance Committee. (TW)
4. Receive recommendations from Randall
County Courthouse Security Committee.
Take any necessary

5. Discuss
and act on request to approve contract with Time America, Inc. for time and attendance system. (Auditor)
6. Discuss and act on proposal to approve
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Potter County
regarding fire protection in the northwest corner of Randall County. Discuss and act
on future intentions with regard to fire protection in this area. (TW)
7. Discuss issues concerning a fire
protection contract with the City of Amarillo.

2. DISCUSSION OF ISSUES RELATED TO THE
NEAL CEARLEY LAWSUIT. AT LEAST PART OF

COURT’S LEGAL COUNSEL PURSUANT TO TEX. GOV. CODE ANN. SECTION 551.071

COUNTY COURTHOUSE SECURITY COMMITTEE.

Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere. Motion to move forward with hiring the personnel for the Courthouse Security, with $27,987.06 being taken out of the Courthouse Security budget, this includes related equipment needed for personnel.

Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere. Motion to ask the Sheriff’s Office to purchase the equipment stated in the middle box with a limit of $10,000.00. (see exhibit)

Motion was made by Commissioner Karrh. Motion to make recommendation that this Committee also bring a recommendation back on the moving of DPS into the 1st floor of the Justice Building, and if DPS is willing to respond to the County’s Panic buttons.

Motion was made by Commissioner Huskey. Motion that we approve the contract with Time America as we have worked out the details since the last meeting.

6. DISCUSS AND ACT ON PROPOSAL TO APPROVE
