Commissioners= Court in and for Randall County, Texas with the
following present and presiding:

turned into the county treasurer in a timely fashion in violation of county

Motion was made by Commissioner Karrh. So moved.

2. DISCUSS AND AWARD MEDICATIONS BID NO. 2001-62-4 FOR THE
JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER AND THE JAIL.

Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere. Motion to approve bid #2001-62-4 for D & S Drug Mart.

3. DISCUSS AND AWARD BID FOR INSTALLATION OF AN ABOVE-GROUND
FUEL SYSTEM FOR THE NEW JAIL. (AUDITOR)
Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere. Motion on bid #2001-62-3 to award for low bid for Willborn Brothers Company for a 15,000 gallon tank for $51,910.00.
SECOND was made by Commissioner Parker.

Motion carried by 4-1 vote.
4. SELECT INDIVIDUAL TO SERVE ON THE RANDALL COUNTY BAIL
BOND BOARD. (TW)
Motion was made by Commissioner Karrh. Recommend we nominate ex-sheriff, Harold Hooks, to be on that committee.
SECOND was made by Judge Wood.
AYES: Four.

ABSTAINING: One. Huskey.
Motion carried by 4-0-1 vote.

ACCEPT DONATIONS OF
REFUND CHECKS (AND ANY OTHER DONATIONS) BY CITIZENS TO RANDALL COUNTY. DISCUSS AND ACT ON ISSUE OF HOW THESE
DONATED FUNDS ARE TO BE ALLOCATED AND SPENT. (AUDITOR)
Motion was made by Commissioner Huskey. Motion to accept these donations and have them placed into the general fund.
SECOND was made by Commissioner Karrh.

Motion carried by 4-1 vote.
MOTION made by Commissioner Huskey. Motion that we notify the Tax Office, who is probably getting the bulk of these if not all of them, that they are to instruct people that under the law they cannot designate it, if they have a desire of where this should be spent, they just need to call their commissioner.
Motion
died for lack of a second.

DISCUSS PROBLEM OF EMPLOYEE TIME SHEETS NOT BEING
TURNED INTO THE COUNTY TREASURER IN A TIMELY FASHION IN VIOLATION OF COUNTY
POLICY. TAKE ANY NECESSARY ACTION. (TW)
Motion was made by Commissioner Huskey. Motion that we instruct them (Elected Officials) to look at the possibility of making this (pay periods) two weeks behind or 14 days behind, however you want to term that, to give us adequate time.
SECOND was made by Judge Wood.
AYES: All five.
NAYS: None.
Motion carried by 5-0 vote.
MOTION was made by Commissioner Huskey. Motion that we also look at, beginning Oct. 1st, going to a 26 pay year instead of 24.
SECOND was made by Judge Wood.

Huskey moved to approve the minutes for the meeting held on the 24th
of April 2001 as distributed.
