MOTION was made by Commissioner Gualtiere. Motion to approve the May 9th minutes.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Karrh.

2. DISCUSS AND ACT ON REQUEST TO RECEIVE USED AMBULANCE FROM THE PANTEX FIRE DEPARTMENT. (SCOTT JOHNSON)

MOTION was made by Commissioner Parker. Motion we accept that ambulance from Pantex to be used as a rescue vehicle.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Huskey.

3. DISCUSS AND ACT ON REQUEST TO APPROVE RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY GRANT. (JANE KING)

MOTION was made by Commissioner Huskey. Move that we act on the request to approve the Resolution supporting this grant.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.

4. RECEIVE REPORT CONCERNING THE LEGALITY OF SEALCOATING ROADS IN THE VILLAGE OF TIMBERCREEK. TAKE ANY NECESSARY ACTION IN REGARD TO OUR CURRENT AGREEMENT TO SEALCOAT ROADS IN TIMBERCREEK THIS SUMMER. (ROAD DEPARTMENT)

MOTION was made by Commissioner Huskey. Motion that we ask Mr. Gore to address specifically, on our behalf, the issue of this being a contract with a Municipality with the understanding they are paying the entire cost of the project that public moneys in it above and beyond the cost are not being used and that we go ahead and work on the construction of a properly worded question to be remitted to the A.G.'s office to clarify this for the future.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.

5. DISCUSS ISSUES OF CONCERN RELATED TO CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW JAIL. TAKE ANY NECESSARY ACTION. (SHERIFF)

6. DISCUSS AND ACT ON REQUEST TO MAKE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR ENHANCEMENT OF THE VETERANS PARK. (GP)

MOTION was made by Commissioner Parker. Motion that we do this.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.

7. DISCUSS AND ACT ON REQUEST TO APPROVE LETTER AND RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF PORTS-TO-PLAINS TRADE CORRIDOR. (CG)

MOTION was made by Commissioner Parker. Motion to approve letter of Resolution in support of Ports-to-Plains Trade Corridor.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Huskey.

Judge Wood will write a letter to the jail Contractor about repairing, to County specs., Georgia St. where it was cut across.

MOTION was made by Commissioner Huskey. Motion we table this for one week.

PRPC Request for Proposal for Soil Waste Management Project.

MOTION was made by Judge Wood. Motion that we include this in the correspondence.

At the meeting on May 23, 2000, Commissioner moved to approve the minutes for the meeting held on the 16th of May 2000 as distributed. Commissioner seconded the motion. Five (5) Voted aye. The said minutes were approved as distributed and No corrections were made in open Court.
