This emergency agenda item is posted pursuant to Texas Government Code Annotated Section 551.045 (Vernon 1994), which allows for an emergency addition to a meeting agenda when there is an emergency or an urgent public necessity. In this case, an emergency exists because immediate action by the Randall County Commissioners Court is required because of a reasonably unforeseeable situation. Specifically, the reasonably unforeseeable situation is that Johnson Controls needs to begin work on the relocation on Monday, July 30, 2001.

1. DISCUSS AND ACT ON REQUEST TO RELOCATE THE FIVE-TON AIR CONDITIONING UNIT LOCATED OVER THE COMPUTER ROOM TO A LOCATION OTHER THAN DIRECTLY OVER THE COMPUTER ROOM.
Motion was made by Judge Wood. Motion that we do instruct Johnson Controls to replace the air conditioning system on a different part of the roof with the understanding that we will pay for the added expense that will be somewhere in the neighborhood of $8,000.

minutes for the meeting held on the 24th of July 2001 as
