5.         Discuss and act on proposal to approve a particular page of a Lease/Purchase Agreement             and corresponding resolution with Government Capital Corporation that the commissioners             court declined to approve on June 26.  (TW)

 

6.         Discuss and act on proposal to adopt an order restricting outdoor burning.  (TW)

 

7.            Consider and act on a request by the developer to approve a plat, High Country Estates             Unit #1, amended, being a replat of High Country Estates Unit #1 and an unplatted tract of         land in Section 31, Block 1, T.T.R R Company Survey, Randall County, Texas

            (110.2506 acres)  (Road Dept.).

9.         Discuss and act on request to transfer $2,000 from District Attorney – Office Supplies to         District Attorney – Medical Reports.  (Auditor)

 

10.       Discuss and act on request to transfer $2,200 from Commissioners Court – Contingency to             Commissioners Court – Legal.  (Auditor)

 

11.       Discuss and act on employment of two additional assistant auditors which may include line             item transfers.  (Auditor)

This emergency agenda item is posted pursuant to Texas Government Code Annotated Section 551.045 (Vernon 1994), which allows for an emergency addition to a meeting agenda when there is an emergency or an urgent public necessity.  In this case, an emergency exists because immediate action by the Randall County Commissioners Court is required because of a reasonably unforeseeable situation.  Specifically, the reasonably unforeseeable situation is that Johnson Controls needs to begin work on the relocation on Monday, July 30, 2001.

Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.  Motion to approve the July 17, 2001 Commissioners Court minutes.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Huskey.

AYES: All five.

NAYS: None.

2.            DISCUSS AND ACT ON REQUEST TO APPROVE RESOLUTION IN REGARD TO LIMITING INFORMATION THAT WILL             BE RECORDED CONCERNING USE OF THE NEW COUNTY TELEPHONE SYSTEM.  (SH)

5.            DISCUSS AND ACT ON PROPOSAL TO APPROVE A PARTICULAR PAGE OF A LEASE/PURCHASE AGREEMENT AND CORRESPONDING RESOLUTION WITH GOVERNMENT CAPITAL CORPORATION THAT THE COMMISSIONERS             COURT DECLINED TO APPROVE ON JUNE 26.  (TW)

1.            DISCUSS AND ACT ON REQUEST TO RELOCATE THE FIVE-TON AIR CONDITIONING UNIT LOCATED OVER THE COMPUTER ROOM TO A LOCATION OTHER THAN DIRECTLY OVER THE COMPUTER ROOM.

 

Motion was made by Judge Wood.  Motion that we do instruct Johnson Controls to replace the air conditioning system on a different part of the roof with the understanding that we will pay for the added expense that will be somewhere in the neighborhood of $8,000.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Karrh.

AYES: All five.

NAYS: None.

Motion carried by 5-0 vote.

Judge Wood adjourned the Randall County Commissioners Court until 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 31st  2001 in the Randall County Square North Courtroom.

At the meeting on July 31, 2001, Commissioner Parker   moved to approve the minutes for the meeting held on the 24th of July 2001 as distributed.  Commissioner Huskey  seconded the motion.   Five (5)  Voted aye.  The said minutes were approved as distributed and  No  correction was made in open Court.
