9. Discuss discovery request directed to the County Clerk's office by the defendent in the Wood v. Dawkins lawsuit. (To include a closed meeting pursuant to Tex. Gov. Code Ann. §551.071 permitting a governmental body to conduct a private consultation with its attorney to seek the advice of its attorney about pending litigation.) Take any necessary action. Judge Wood commented: The contractor that is doing some rework on the roof is approximately 2/3 done with that work and things are going fairly well.

11. DISCUSS AND ACT ON REQUEST TO TRANSFER $30,500 TO ROAD AND BRIDGE-ROAD REPAIRS FROM ROAD AND BRIDGE-SALARIES ($27,000) AND FROM ROAD AND BRIDGE-CONTRACTED SERVICES ($3,500). (ROAD AND BRIDGE)

MOTION was made by Commissioner Gualtiere. Motion to transfer $27,000 for Road & Bridge-Salaries, $3,500 from Road & Bridge-Contracted Services to Road & Bridge-Road Repairs for $30,500.

Judge Wood comment: Will be issuing a memo to Elected Officials and Dept. Heads that delineate a little more clearly how interaction is to be done between Elected Officials and the Maintenance Supervisor.

Sheriffs Office - Housing Federal Prisoner Grant

MOTION was made by Commissioner Gualtiere. Motion to request the Sheriffs Office to send the grant contract off and see if Randall County will get it.

At the meeting on August 22, 2000, Commissioner Gualtiere moved to approve the minutes for the meeting held on the 1^st of August 2000 as distributed. Commissioner Karrh seconded the motion. Five (5) Voted aye. The said minutes were approved as distributed and No corrections were made in open Court.
