9.         Discuss and act on request to transfer $8,500 from Sheriff’s Office--Other Salaries to             Sheriff’s Office--Prisoner Housing and Transport.  (Auditor) 

 

10.       Discuss and act on request to transfer $10,000 from 251st District Court--Court-Appointed             Professionals to 47th District Court--Court-Appointed Professionals.  (Auditor) 

 

11.       Discuss fact that funding for Department of Public Safety--Weights and Measure is not             included in the 2001-2002 budget.  Take any necessary action.  (TW)

 

12.       Discuss and act on purchase of a new vehicle for Building Maintenance Operations out of         the 2000-2001 budget, which will include a line item transfer.  (Auditor)

Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.  Motion to table the issue with plaques regarding the new jail.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Huskey.

4.            DISCUSS AND ACT ON REQUEST TO REINSTATE VACATION, SICK LEAVE, LONGEVITY AND INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT FOR MARIE MCNUTT, A FORMER RANDALL COUNTY EMPLOYEE HIRED BY THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE.  (AUDITOR)

 

Motion was made by Commissioner Parker.  Move we reinstate vacation, sick leave, longevity and insurance reimbursement for Marie McNutt in the District Attorney’s Office.

Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.  Motion to install a four-way stop sign at the intersection of South Georgia and Farmers Ave.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Parker.

6.            DISCUSS AND ACT ON PROPOSAL TO APPROVE AN INTER-LOCAL AGREEMENT WITH RANDALL COUNTY NOXIOUS WEED DISTRICT.  (ROAD DEPT.)

 

Motion was made by Judge Wood.  Motion that we table this issue for one week.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Karrh.

AYES: All five.

7.            DISCUSS AND ACT ON ON SPECIFICATIONS FOR PURCHASE OF A MOTOR GRADER FOR THE ROAD AND BRIDGE DEPARTMENT, BID #2001-71-5.  (AUDITOR)

 

Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.  Motion to approve the bid specifications for bid #2001-71-5.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Huskey.

At the meeting on October 2, 2001, Commissioner Karrh  moved to approve the minutes for the meeting held on the 25th of September 2001 as distributed.  Commissioner Parker seconded the motion.   Five (5)  Voted aye.  The said minutes were approved as distributed and  No  correction was made in open Court.
