following personnel issues:
A)
when health insurance coverage begins for new employees;
B)
whether sick leave, vacation time and comp time can be used in calculating overtime; and
C)
what period of time health insurance premiums cover. (TW)
4. Revisit proposal to rectify an error
that occurred in each of the two September paychecks for the approximately 87 county employees who had extra
money withheld from their paychecks
to provide health insurance coverage for spouses and/or children. The error was that this money was not withheld from the September
checks, resulting in paychecks that were
larger than usual for these employees.
The specific proposal to rectify this error is to withhold the amount that should have
been withheld in September from the next six paychecks. Take any necessary action. (TW)
5. Discussion
of policy in regard to treatment of county employees who are called up to reserve duty in the U.S. armed
forces. Take any necessary action. (TW)
6. Discuss and act on proposal to approve
specifications for Bid #2001-62-13 for one ¾ ton crew cab pick-up for Sheriff’s Office. (Sheriff’s Office)
7. Discuss and act on proposal to approve
specifications for Bid #2001-62-12 for one full size 15-passenger van. (Sheriff’s Office)
8. Discuss and act on proposal to approve
specifications for Bid #2001-62-14 for one seven- passenger minivan. (Sheriff’s Office)
9. Discuss and act on the manner in which
commissioners court meetings will be handled during
the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s Day (December 15 and January 1 fall on Tuesday). (SH)
10. Discuss and act on proposal to appoint
Bill Heizer as Randall County’s voting delegate on the Panhandle Emergency Medical Services System (PEMSS).

approve the minutes for the meeting held on the 9th of October 2001
as distributed. Commissioner
Karrh seconded the motion. Five (5) Voted
aye. The said minutes were approved as
