5.         Discuss and act on request to award Bid #2001-71-5 for motor grader for the Road and             Bridge Department. (Auditor)

 

6.         Discuss and act on request to award Bid #2001-62-10 for four automobiles with police             packages for the Sheriff’s department.  (Auditor)

 

7.         Discuss and act on request to award Bid #2001-62-11 for two automobiles with police             packages for the Sheriff’s office.  (Auditor)

 

8.         Discuss and act on request to approve contract for medical officer for current fiscal year             2001-2002. (Auditor)

 

9.         Discuss and act on request to approve contract for jail physician for current fiscal year      2001-2002.  (Auditor)

 

10        Discuss and act on proposal to transfer $75,000 from Commissioners Court--Contingency to Non-Departmental--Insurance and Bonds.  (Auditor)

1.            DISCUSS AND ACT ON REQUEST TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE OCTOBER 16, 2001 COMMISSIONERS COURT MEETING. (TW)

 

Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.  Motion to approve the October 16, 2001, Commissioners Court meeting minutes.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Parker.

AYES: All five.

NAYS: None.

Motion carried by 5-0 vote.                                                                                                                

 

2.            DISCUSSION OF COMPENSATION FOR THE COUNTY COURT AT LAW COURT REPORTER AND RELATED ISSUES.  TAKE ANY NECESSARY ACTION.  (CG)  

 

Motion was made by Judge Wood.  Motion that the Commissioners Court follow the recommendation of the Job Description Committee and set a pay grade of 29 for the Court Reporter Position in the County Court at Law and pursuant to our current wage set-up that would mean with the ability to hire in a person at 5% above the beginning step in that grade, that would be a salary of $45,834.00.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Karrh.

Motion carried by 3-2 vote.                                                                                                                

 

3.            DISCUSS AND ACT ON PROPOSAL TO APPROVE AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE RANDALL COUNTY NOXIOUS WEED DISTRICT.  (TW)

 

Motion was made by Commissioner Parker.  Motion that we approve the interlocal agreement with the Randall County Noxious Weed District.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.

4.            DISCUSS AND ACT ON REQUEST TO MAKE LINE ITEM TRANSFERS IN THE AMOUNT OF $64,635 FROM VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS TO OTHER VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS.  THIS IS A CLEAN-UP ITEM FOR THE 2000-2001 FISCAL YEAR. (AUDITOR)

 

Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.  Motion to approve the line-item transfer from this Exhibit.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Parker.

Motion was made by Commissioner Parker.  Motion we accept the alternate bid from West Texas Equipment Co.

Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.  Motion to approve the transfer from Commissioners Court-Contingency of $75,000 to Non-Departmental-Insurance and Bonds.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Huskey.

Judge Wood adjourned the Randall County Commissioners Court until 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2001 in the Randall County Square North Courtroom.

At the meeting on October 30, 2001, Commissioner  Karrh  moved to approve the minutes for the meeting held on the 23rd of October 2001 as distributed.  Commissioner Parker seconded the motion.   Five (5)  Voted aye.  The said minutes were approved as distributed and  No  correction was made in open Court.
