Be it remembered on this the 6th day of November, 2001, there came to and was held a Regular Meeting at 3:30 p.m. of the Commissioners= Court in and for Randall County, Texas with the following present and presiding:

 

Theodore Wood,          Presiding County Judge (absent)

Robert Karrh                Commissioner Precinct 1         

Gene Parker,                Commissioner Precinct 2         

George Huskey,           Commissioner Precinct 3         

Craig Gualtiere,            Commissioner Precinct 4         

 

Also present at the meeting was Joella McPherson, County Auditor and Sue Wicker Bartolino, County Clerk.

2.         Set time for next meeting.  Meeting must be held to canvass the votes in the constitutional           amendment election no later than November 12, 2001.  (November 12 is a County holiday.)

3.         Revisit the commissioners court’s decision to seek bids on the restriping of the parking lot         at the Amarillo Annex.  Additionally, give specific direction to the Auditor’s office          concerning the striping of the parking area across the street (to the west) from the Justice          Building.  (Auditor)

 

4.         Review of correspondence with the commissioners court.  (TW)

 

5          Accept official reports.  (TW)

 

6.         Discuss and act on Randall County employees' requests to attend meetings and conferences.      (Auditor)

 

7.         Approval of vouchers.  (Auditor)

Motion was made by Commissioner Karrh.  So moved.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Parker.

AYES: Four.

NAYS: None.

Motion carried by 4-0 vote.                                                                                                     

 

2.         SET TIME FOR NEXT MEETING.  MEETING MUST BE HELD TO CANVASS THE VOTES IN THE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT ELECTION NO LATER THAN NOVEMBER 12, 2001.  (NOVEMBER 12 IS A COUNTY HOLIDAY.) (TW)

 

Motion was made by Commissioner Huskey.  Motion that we meet right here Friday, at 5:00 p.m., to Canvass the vote.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Karrh.

AYES: Four.

NAYS: None.

Motion carried by 4-0 vote.                                                                                                     

 

3.         REVISIT THE COMMISSIONERS COURT’S DECISION TO SEEK BIDS ON THE RE-STRIPING OF THE PARKING LOT AT THE AMARILLO ANNEX.  ADDITIONALLY, GIVE SPECIFIC DIRECTION TO THE AUDITOR’S OFFICE CONCERNING THE STRIPING OF THE PARKING AREA ACROSS THE STREET (TO THE WEST) FROM THE JUSTICE BUILDING.  (AUDITOR)

 

Building Maintenance Dept. is to re-stripe the parking lot across from the Justice Building.         

 

4.         REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE WITH THE COMMISSIONERS COURT.  (TW)

 

Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.  Motion to approve the correspondence with Commissioners Court.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Karrh.

Motion carried by 4-0 vote.                                                                                                     

 

5          ACCEPT OFFICIAL REPORTS.  (TW)

 

Motion was made by Commissioner Parker.  Move we accept the Official Reports.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.

NAYS: None.

Motion carried by 4-0 vote.                                                                                                     

 

6.         DISCUSS AND ACT ON RANDALL COUNTY EMPLOYEES' REQUESTS TO ATTEND MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES.  (AUDITOR)

 

None.                                                                                                                                                  

 

7.         APPROVAL OF VOUCHERS.  (AUDITOR)

 

Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.  Motion to approve the following voucher.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Parker.

Next meeting November 9, at 5:00 p.m., to Canvass Election.

Commissioner Huskey adjourned the Randall County Commissioners Court until 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2001 in the Randall County Square North Courtroom.

At the meeting on November 13, 2001, Commissioner  Parker  moved to approve the minutes for the meeting held on the 6th of November 2001 as distributed.  Commissioner Gualtiere   seconded the motion.   Five (5)  Voted aye.  The said minutes were approved as distributed and  No  correction was made in open Court.
