Be it remembered on this the 13th day of November, 2001, there came to and was held a Regular Meeting at 3:30 p.m. of the Commissioners= Court in and for Randall County, Texas with the following present and presiding:

Also present at the meeting was Joella McPherson, County Auditor and Sue Wicker Bartolino, County Clerk.

4.         Discuss and act on a request by the developer to approve a plat, Brookwater Estates, Unit             #1, Section 34, Blk 9,  B S &F Survey, Randall County, Texas.  (Road Department.)

 

5.         Discuss and act on proposal to approve order prohibiting the keeping of wild animals in             Randall County.  (GP)

 

6.         Review of correspondence with the commissioners court.  (TW)

 

7          Accept official reports.  (TW)

 

8.         Discuss and act on Randall County employees' requests to attend meetings and conferences.              (Auditor)

2.            DISCUSS AND ACT ON PROPOSAL TO APPROVE ACTION OF THE RANDALL COUNTY SELF INSURANCE BOARD IN REGARD TO CHANGES CONCERNING LAB WORK PAYMENTS UNDER THE COUNTY HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN. (SH)

 

Motion was made by Commissioner Huskey.  So moved.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.

3.            DISCUSS AND ACT ON REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION OFFICIALLY CLOSING THE RANDALL II JAIL LOCATED AT 608 SOUTH PIERCE STREET IN AMARILLO.  (TW)

 

Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.  So moved.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Karrh.

Motion carried by 5-0 vote.                                                                                                    

 

4.            DISCUSS AND ACT ON A REQUEST BY THE DEVELOPER TO APPROVE A PLAT, BROOKWATER ESTATES, UNIT             #1, SECTION 34, BLK 9,  B S &F SURVEY, RANDALL COUNTY, TEXAS.  (ROAD DEPARTMENT.)

 

Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.  Motion to deny this variance of Brookwater Estates.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Huskey.

Motion carried by 5-0 vote.                                                                                                    

 

5.            DISCUSS AND ACT ON PROPOSAL TO APPROVE ORDER PROHIBITING THE KEEPING OF WILD ANIMALS IN RANDALL COUNTY.  (GP)

 

Motion was made by Commissioner Huskey.  Move that we enact an Order to prohibit dangerous wild animals in Randall County, noting the exceptions in Sect. 822.102 of the law.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Karrh.

Motion carried by 5-0 vote.                                                                                                    

 

6.            REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE WITH THE COMMISSIONERS COURT.  (TW)

 

Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.  Motion to approve the correspondence with Commissioners Court.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Huskey.

Motion carried by 4-0 vote.                                                                                                    

 

7            ACCEPT OFFICIAL REPORTS.  (TW)

 

Motion was made by Commissioner Huskey.  So moved.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Parker.

Motion carried by 4-0 vote.

 

MOTION was made by Judge Wood.  Motion to add the report to the Commissioners Court from Auditor -  Joella McPherson, the September Revenues & Expenses Report.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Parker.

NAYS:  None.

8.            DISCUSS AND ACT ON RANDALL COUNTY EMPLOYEES' REQUESTS TO ATTEND MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES.  (AUDITOR)

 

Motion was made by Commissioner Parker.  Move we accept the employees request to attend meetings and conferences.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.

9.            APPROVAL OF VOUCHERS.  (AUDITOR)

 

Motion was made by Commissioner Parker.  Motion that we pay these bills.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.

SELF INSURANCE BOARD

 

1.            DISCUSS AND ACT ON REQUEST TO MAKE CHANGES REGARDING LAB WORK PAYMENTS UNDER THE COUNTY HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN. (SH)

 

MOTION was made by Commissioner Huskey.  Motion that the Insurance Board approve the change to the Health Plan authorizing payment up to 80% for blood work done by the employees.

SECOND was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.

AYES:  All five.

NAYS:  None.                                                                                                 Resolution #2001-166

Motion carried by 5-0 vote.

Judge Wood adjourned the Randall County Commissioners Court until 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2001 in the Randall County Square North Courtroom.

At the meeting on November 20, 2001, Commissioner  Gualtiere  moved to approve the minutes for the meeting held on the 13th of November 2001 as distributed.  Commissioner   Huskey seconded the motion.   Five (5)  Voted aye.  The said minutes were approved as distributed and  No  correction was made in open Court.
