Be it remembered on this the 21st day of November 2000, there came to and was held a Regular Meeting at 9:00 a.m. of the Commissioners= Court in and for Randall County, Texas with the following present and presiding:

Craig Gualtiere, Commissioner Precinct 4
Also present at the meeting was Joella McPherson, County Auditor and Sue Wicker Bartolino, County Clerk.
Bruce Evans, Randall County Deputy Sheriff, gave the invocation.

2. DISCUSS AND ACT ON PROPOSAL TO APPROVE FIRE CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF AMARILLO. (TW)
Motion was made by Commissioner Huskey. Motion that we approve the contract with the new wording for #3 under section one.
SECOND was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.

3. DISCUSS ISSUES OF CONCERN RELATED TO CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW JAIL. TAKE ANY NECESSARY ACTION. (TW)

4. DISCUSS AND ACT ON PROPOSAL TO AWARD BID #2000-50-2 FOR ROOF REPAIRS TO THE YOUTH CENTER OF THE HIGH PLAINS. (AUDITOR)
Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere. Motion to take the low bid of $30,000 for bid #2000-50-2. (Construction Services)

5. DISCUSS AND ACT ON REQUEST TO PASS RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE TEXAS PANHANDLE REGIONAL NARCOTIC TRAFFICKING TASK FORCE, (SHERIFF)
Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere. Motion to approve the resolution supporting the Texas Panhandle Regional Narcotic Trafficking Task Force.
SECOND was made by Judge Wood.

Motion carried by 5-0 vote.
6. DISCUSS AND AWARD VEHICLE BIDS #2000-062-3 AND 2000-062-4 FOR THE SHERIFF=S OFFICE.
Motion was made by Commissioner Gualtiere. Motion to take the low bid of Gene Messer Ford for eight vehicles with trades for a total of $129,630.80 on bid #2000-62-3.
SECOND was made by Commissioner Parker.
MOTION AND 2ND WITHDRAWN.
Motion was made by Judge Wood. Motion that we go with the purchasing of six vehicles from Gene Messer Ford with a total bid, with trade-ins, being $97,598.10.
SECOND was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.
AYES: All five.
NAYS: None. Resolution #2000-187
Motion carried by 5-0 vote.
Motion was made by Judge Wood. Motion that we do not purchase this vehicle, bid #2000-62-4.
SECOND was made by Commissioner Gualtiere.

Judge Wood adjourned the Randall County Commissioners Court until 9:00 am. Tuesday, November 28th, 2000 in the Randall County Square North Courtroom.

At the meeting on November 28, 2000, Commissioner Karrh moved to approve the minutes for the meeting held on the 21st of November 2000 as distributed. Commissioner Parker seconded the motion. Five (5) Voted aye. The said minutes were approved as distributed and No correction was made in open Court.
