Wheat Crop Management:
Wheat for grain is one of the state's most valuable cash crops, usually exceeded in value only by cotton lint, sorghum, and rice. Wheat pastures also provide considerable winter grazing for cattle. The primary role of the Texas Extension program is to disseminate research based knowledge to agricultural producers. Your Randal County Extension Agent is ready to assist small scale farmers and ranchers to become self sustaining and profitable.
