Randall County Sheriff's Office has five seasoned investigators that investigate all criminal cases that occur in Randall County outside the city limits of Amarillo and Canyon. The unit is supervised by Lieutenant Paul Horn and all other investigators hold the rank of Sergeant. The Victim Services Program also works out of the Criminal Investigation Division.
All cases fall into three categories.
Property Crimes include residential and business burglaries, theft of property, arson investigations, vandalism and criminal mischief, forgery, fraud and embezzlement.
Crimes Against Persons are crimes committed against any person. They include aggravated and simple assaults, sexual assaults, offenses against family, harassement, homicides, child molestation cases and robbery.
Juvenile Crimes are crimes that are commited by children from ages 10 through 16. |

Lieutenant Paul Horn -
Lt. Horn has been in law enforcement since 1979 and has served the Randall County Sheriff's Office since 1985. He worked patrol for several years before being promoted to field Sergeant in 1990. Sgt. Horn then spent four years assigned to the Special Crimes Unit as a homicide investigator. He supervises CID, CSI, and the NET and investigates Crimes Against Persons cases. . |

Sergeant Pat Williams - Sgt. Williams has been serving the Randall County Sheriff's Office since 1994. Sgt. Williams is assigned to investigate property crimes in the Criminal Investigation Division. He has served in the Sheriff's Office Jail Division and Patrol Division promoting to Sergeant in 2004. Sgt. Williams holds his Master Peace Officer license as well as a Bachelors Degree from WTAMU. He is also trained and certified in hostage negotiations. |

Sergeant Chris Forbis - Sgt. Forbis is currently assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division investigating property crimes. Sgt. Forbis has been with the Randall County Sheriff's Office since 1992 beginning in corrections and then promoted to the Patrol Division. He most recently served as the midnight patrol sergeant. Sgt. Forbis is a Field Training Officer and certified instructor teaching law enforcement topics to peace officers. He is also a Firearms Instructor and one of only six Field Sobriety instructors in the Texas Panhandle. |

Sergeant Dennis Hendley - Sgt. Hendley has been with the Randall County Sheriff's Office since 1985. He served as a field Sergeant and a narcotics officer. Sgt. Hendley is now assigned to investigate crimes against persons cases in the Criminal Investigation Division of the Randall County Sheriff's Office.. |

Sergeant Chuck Jones- Sgt. Jones began his law enforcement career in 1980 and has served at the Randall County Sheriff's Office since 1984. He served in the Patrol Division before being promoted to Sergeant and moved to CID. Sgt. Jones investigates Crimes Against Persons specializing in crimes involving child victims. Sgt. Jones also handles some property crimes cases. Sgt. Jones has his masters Peace Officer License, is a trained hostage negotiator and is a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy. |

Sergeant Sam Morales - Juvenile Crime is handled by Sgt. Sam Morales who has been with the Randall County Sheriff's Office since 1986. He has served the Sheriff's Office as a jailer, dispatcher and a patrol deputy. Sgt. Morales also investigates all alcohol related cases and runaways. |

Gil Farren - Victim Services Coordinator - Gil works with witnesses of crimes and crime victims in Randall County. She helps victims and witnesses as the criminal cases proceed through the judicial system. She is an employee of the Randall County Sheriffs Office but works closely with the District Attorneys Office. |
