The Randall County Sheriff's Office and Jail is now in the location at 9100 South Georgia or at the corner of Loop 335 (Hollywood Road) and Georgia Street. The new Randall County Jail is a "direct supervision" facility which uses the innovative popular design for inmate housing instead of a linear design. This creates a secure and humane environment for both staff and inmates.

Under the direct supervision philosophy, a jail officer is present inside the housing unit at all times to directly supervise and interact with inmates. It is the responsibility of the officer to maintain control of the inmate's behavior, minimize negative conduct, and reduce or eliminate tension-causing situations. Direct supervision enhances the interaction between jail officers and inmates, reduces inmate violence and vandalism, and provides a significant savings by reducing the number of staff needed to operate the facility.
